Position Operations/Fulfillment Intern
Summary of Position:
The intern will be responsible for conducting time and motion studies, analyzing workflows, and assisting in the development of process improvement strategies. Additionally, they will provide support with day-to-day administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth functioning of operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications
- Time and Motion Studies
- Conduct detailed observations and record time and motion data to analyze efficiency in workflows.
- Compile and present findings to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Workflow Analysis
- Evaluate current workflows and identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
- Assist in developing strategies to optimize processes and improve productivity.
- Process Improvement Support
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Administrative Support
- Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations within the department.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, and organize project documentation as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data and support project implementation.
- Communicate effectively to relay findings, updates, and suggestions to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program related to Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with process analysis tools or techniques is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive and eager to learn.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
