There are three types of Lazada seller account in the Philippines. Each type of account has its own feature and requirements. 1. Local Marketplace Seller

Local Marketplace accounts can be individual or corporate sellers. They can access exclusive tools and resources. If you are a marketplace seller, you can send your products to Lazada’s drop-off points to ship them to your customers.

To become a local marketplace seller, you must first decide if you want to sign up as a Corporate or individual seller. Corporate sellers represent businesses and BIR-registered businesses. Individual sellers are individuals without BIR-registered businesses. After selecting your Lazada account type you must submit the following seller requirements:

Corporate Seller

    • BIR 2303
    • Business Permit/Certificate of Registration 
    • Corporate Bank Account 

Individual Seller

    • Valid Government ID
    • Bank Account Information 
    • Proof of Bank Account

2. LazMall Seller

LazMall Seller account is a premium account for brands and authorized distributors that offer a wide range of products. You can also be an exclusive or non-exclusive reseller of an established brand.

If you want to apply as a Lazmall Seller, you may need to provide proof of the authenticity of your products:

  • Trademark certificate for brand owners,
  • Letter of authorization from brands for exclusive/non-exclusive distributors
  • Brand purchase invoices for resellers.

You may also need to provide additional supporting documents such as:

  • BIR 2303
  • Bank Statement
  • Logo

3. Delivered By Seller

These are the type of seller who fulfills their own orders. The following are a few considerations for this type of account: 

  • Lazada Fresh or fresh and frozen goods
  • Sellers who require special shipping arrangements
  • Sellers who offer value-adding services
  • Delivery types that are outside LEL Delivery Partners’ service limits

To qualify for the Delivered by Seller account, you may need to request and apply through Lazada’s registration form that you can find on this link. New sellers need to create their Lazada store and upload their SKUs. They are also required to request geo-restriction for their DBS SKUs. Lazada’s team will be reviewing your application before you can your product on their platform. 

How To Sign Up To Sell Your Products On The Lazada Platform?

Step#1: Visit Lazada’s official page.

Step#2: At the top menu, click on “Sell on Lazada”.

Step#3: Choose your Seller type and click Sign Up.

Step#4: Enter your number and verify it with an SMS.

Step#5: Pick one of the categories that are applicable to your business: Marketplace, Lazmall, and Lazada Fresh.

Step#6: Fill in the registration form.

Step#7: Input your business information and seller requirements.

How Much Does Lazada Charge Its Seller?

Signing up for an account as a Seller on Lazada is completely free. However, the marketplace may charge commissions on the sale of each item. The amount varies depending on your seller account.

For instance, if you are a Marketplace Seller you will be charged 1% to 5% commission. Lazmall Seller, on the other hand, may need to pay higher commissions ranging from 3% to 7% of the sale.
